A home care package in Ireland refers to a comprehensive range of services and supports provided to individuals who require assistance with daily activities or healthcare needs in their own homes. These packages are designed to help people maintain their independence and quality of life while receiving the necessary care and support tailored to their specific needs. Home care packages can include personal care, meal preparation, medication management, mobility assistance, and companionship, among other services.

The Home Support Service provides you with support for everyday tasks including:
• Getting in and out of bed
• Dressing and undressing
• Personal care such as showering and shaving

The support you will receive depends on your individual needs. These supports will be provided by the HSE or by an external provider, approved by the HSE.

1. Phone us on 01 406 4285 or email us at care@homecarer.ie to discuss your needs.
2. We will agree on a suitable day and time for a free, no-obligation home consultation. During a 30–60 minute home consultation we will jointly detail the client's needs, history and contact information of all relevant people.
3. A detailed care plan is created based on the information discussed during the home consultation.
4. The care plan is reviewed with the client and any other requested person. It is further refined based on feedback and relevant information.
5. Once the care plan is agreed and prior to commencement of care services, the client is introduced to the Care Assistant and has the opportunity to ask further questions or discuss needs.

Week 1: The Care Manager attends with the Care Assistant on Day 1. At the end of Week 1 the Care Manager in consultation with the client reviews the services provided in the first week and applies any necessary changes for subsequent weeks.

Weeks 1–4: Regular feedback can be provided to the care assistant or you can directly contact the Care Manager.

Week 4: A review of care provided for the month is undertaken in partnership with the client. All requested changes are applied and a monthly report created of the milestones, progress and agreed next steps.

HSE carers are caregivers directly employed by the Health Service Executive (HSE) in Ireland. These dedicated professionals provide essential care and support services to individuals who require assistance with their daily activities due to age, illness, or disability. HSE carers work directly with individuals in their homes, providing personal care, assistance with mobility, medication management, meal preparation, and household tasks. They also offer emotional support and companionship, ensuring the well-being and safety of their clients. We at HomeCarer Trusted Independent Living hire our Healthcare Assistants directly and we work for the HSE.
